- 1991-1998: Residency at the general and vascular surgery unit of the Diakonie Hospital in Schwäbisch Hall under Prof. Lenner, as well as residency at the surgical intensive care unit and the trauma, hand, plastic and reconstructive surgery unit under Prof. Siebert.
- 1998 Certified as a specialist surgeon
- 1998 – 2001: Resident and senior physician under Prof. Siebert, MD in the trauma, hand, plastic and reconstructive surgery in Schwäbisch Hall
- 1999: Certified as a trauma surgeon
- 2001-2005: Practice assistant in the orthopaedic / surgical group practice of doctors Scheibe / Suhas / Lais in Freiburg and in the practice of Dr. Paulsen in Eppingen
- Since 2006, partner in the orthopaedic / surgical group practice of doctors Scheibe / Lais / Quarck in Praxisklinik 2000 in Freiburg
